This is a hard-hitting book. Cogently, engagingly, authors Gordon and Suzuki warn us that the course we as a species are now on must end in ecocide. It is a major strength of the book that it not only charts the physical, biological, and economic trends but shows the interlocking psychological patterns of denial and loss of will that together make the present situation look exceedingly grim.
