Parapharyngeal abscess secondary to an external auditory meatus foreign body

Abstract
Parapharyngeal abscess is not an uncommon condition and may be due to spread of infection from acute tonsillitis or dental or secondary to perforating injury of the pharynx. We present a case report of a patient with an external auditory meatus foreign body who developed a parapharyngeal abscess.
