The Tako-Tsubo Cardiomyopathy is a condition that strengthens the close link between the psychological domain and the cardiovascular function. This condition, which shares the typical features of the acute myocardial infarction, has also been referred to as “Broken Heart Syndrome” because of its distinctively presentation after an episode of acute emotional distress. Over the past years, the interest on this subject has been growing in the same way as the number of cases reported in the literature. in this work the authors propose to discuss this matter, presenting a case report of an 62-year-old women, who developed a Tako-Tsubo syndrome after witnessing the sudden and unexpected syncopal episode of her husband, who would shortly pass away.
