Summary
Lung ultrasound (LUS) is regarded as one of the simplest forms of ultrasound (US) to learn and requires the understanding of ten signs. We recommend this to be the first POCUS competency to acquire due to its relatively fast learning curve and frequency of use within clinical medicine. The speed of performing an assessment, typically less than five minutes, renders it a fundamental skill for all clinicians.
