Case 32 - Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma of the Parotid Gland

Summary

A 59-year-old female with a 9-year history of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with metastases to lungs, pancreas, and gallbladder, treated by nephrectomy, adjuvant chemotherapy, and biological therapy, presented with a 4-month history of swelling of the parotid region, associated with pain and loss of function of the frontal branch of the facial nerve. Clinical examination confirmed the presence of a firm subcutaneous lesion, with focal ulceration of the overlying skin.
