Summary
Following Chapter 30 that dealt with the publication of the translations of McCarthy’s works, this chapter focuses on the international academic reception of McCarthy, in particular tracking down papers that examines translation issues per se. The chapter also provides comments on the strong internationalized nature of his academic reception and looks more closely at the academic reception in a number of countries (the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Italy, France, and China).
