This chapter presents twelve sample structured oral examination questions concerning the treatment and management of conditions affecting the airway. During the structured oral examination of the FRCA examination, the examiners are given an answer sheet, which contains the information around which the discussion of the question should proceed. Nevertheless, the detail given is fairly typical of the SOE sheets, and might also be the basis of a written question. Each question presented here is separately dealt with, listing the possible causes and management of each of the twelve conditions.
