Summary

Otho(1237)

1. That all churches be hallowed within a year.

2. That nothing shall be required for the sacraments of the church, and that an order in confession must be observed.

3. Of baptism and the form of baptizing.

4. That nothing shall be required or received for penance enjoined.

5. Of the confession of prelates.

6. That unworthy be not promoted.

7. That dignities be not let to farm.

8. That churches may not be let out to farm above five years.

9. That no church be let to farm unto any person for ever.

10. Of the instruction of vicars.

11. That the church of him who is absent be not given to any person.

12. That no one church be hereafter divided into many parsonages or vicarages.

13. Of residence.

14. Of the habit of clerks and of their ornaments.

15. Of them that have wives to be removed from benefices.

16. Of the removing of clerk's concubines.

17. That in a church the son succeed not the father.

18. Of the receivers of thieves.

19. That monks abstain from the eating of flesh.

Othobon (1268)

1. Of baptism.

2. That for ecclesiastical sacraments nothing be asked.

3. Of the consecration and reformation of the church's state.

4. Of clerks that wear weapons.

5. Of the habit of clerks.

6. That clerks exercise not worldly jurisdictions.

7. That clerks be not advocates causes secular, nor judges nor assistere.

8. Of concubinaries, that is to say, of them that keep concubines.

9. Of the residence of vicars and their institution.

10. Of them that be intruded.

11. That one church be not divided into many parsonages.
