In the book review of Alchemy, Medicine and Religion in the China of A.D. 320. The Nei Pʻien of Ko Hung, which appeared in the November 1967 issue of The Journal of Asian Studies, the final sentence of the first paragraph should have read: “It is befitting that the book under review is published by the M. I. T. Press, since the author was a friend and academic associate of the late Professor Davis, and moreover, the M. I. T. is one of the few seats of higher learning in America having a specialist in the history of Chinese Chemistry in the person of Professor Nathan Sivin.”
