Summary
Human sexuality is characterized by a large variety of sexual expression which comprises several dimensions [1–3]. The physical biological dimension is described as male, intersex or female. The mental dimension is called sexual orientation and expresses itself as heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual. The emotional dimension consists of affective orientation and is communicated through expressions like the mental dimension, meaning heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual. Both the emotional and mental dimensions describe a person’s physical, romantic and/or emotional attraction towards other people which may or may not manifest itself in behaviour.
